CCENT ICND1 100-101 Course Activity

Review course participation, enrollment, progress, assessment, recognition, and feedback events for CCENT ICND1 100-101 exam preparation.

The CCENT ICND1 100-101 course activity area is a chronological record of events connected to course participation, progress, assessment, enrollment, and recognition. Use it to see what has happened in the course and to verify important learning milestones.

CCENT means Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician, an entry-level networking certification associated with the ICND1 exam path. ICND1 100-101 identifies the Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 1 exam associated with this exam-preparation course.

Activity events provide evidence of progress through networking lessons, practice, evaluation, and course completion. For the course structure and lesson sequence, see the course curriculum.

What the Course Activity Feed Shows

An activity feed is a chronological record of course, learner, assessment, and administrative events. Depending on your role and the events that have occurred, it can include:

  • Course announcements and news
  • Learner comments attached to course units
  • Enrollment, renewal, access-code, start, and removal events
  • Unit completion and course progress events
  • Quiz and assignment activity
  • Course submissions, evaluations, resets, and retakes
  • Badge, certificate, and course-review events

The activity feed is different from other course areas:

  • Curriculum: Lists the course units and learning sequence.
  • Members: Lists learners, instructors, or other participants.
  • Forums: Organize discussions and replies.
  • News: Presents course updates; corresponding news events may also appear in the activity feed.
  • Activity: Records events that occurred, rather than presenting the complete course content or participant directory.

Filtering Course Activity

Use the activity controls to choose Everything, which shows all available events, or select a specific event type. Filtering reduces a large chronological feed to the information you need.

  1. Open the course activity area.
  2. Select Everything to review the complete activity feed, or choose an event category.
  3. Review the matching events and their dates, participants, or related course items.
  4. Change the filter when you need to investigate another type of activity.

Students can filter for unit completions, quiz evaluations, assignment evaluations, badges, or certificates to find their own milestones. Instructors and administrators can use enrollment, access, assessment, and recognition filters to review course events and monitor learner progress.

Course Communication Events

Course Announcements

A course announcement is a course-wide instructional or administrative message. An announcement event indicates that such communication was published or recorded for the course.

Course News

Course news is a news update associated with the course. Use the communication filter when checking whether a course update has been posted.

Comments on Course Units

Learner comments attached to course units show participation connected to a particular lesson or learning item. These events differ from general forum discussions because they are associated with a course unit.

Enrollment and Access Events

A course subscription is a learner's enrollment or access relationship with a course. Activity can record changes to that relationship, including:

  • Course subscription or enrollment: A learner gains a course access relationship.
  • Course subscription renewal: An existing subscription is renewed.
  • Course access-code application: An access code is applied to obtain or activate course access.
  • Course start: A learner begins the course or a recorded course attempt.
  • Course removal: A learner's course access or membership is removed.

For an access audit, filter for subscription, renewal, access-code, start, and removal events. This helps an administrator compare a learner's expected access status with the recorded history.

Learning-Progress Events

  • Unit completion: A recorded milestone indicating that a learner completed a course unit.
  • Course submission: A learner submits required course work or a course attempt.
  • Course evaluation: A course submission or attempt is reviewed or receives a recorded outcome.
  • Course reset: An action clears or restarts tracked learner progress.
  • Course retake: A learner begins a new course attempt after an earlier attempt.

For example, a learner reviewing unit-completion events can confirm that completed lessons in the CCENT ICND1 100-101 preparation course have been recorded. A reset or retake should be interpreted carefully because it may change how current progress is represented.

Assessment Events

Quiz Activity

  • Quiz start: The learner begins a quiz.
  • Quiz submission: The learner submits quiz responses.
  • Quiz evaluation: The quiz result is recorded or reviewed.

Quiz evaluation refers to the recording or review of a quiz result. A learner looking for practice-assessment outcomes should select the quiz-evaluation filter after submitting a quiz.

Assignment Activity

  • Assignment start: The learner begins an assignment.
  • Assignment submission: The learner submits the assignment.
  • Assignment evaluation: The assignment result is recorded or reviewed.

Assignment evaluation is the recording or review of an assignment result. A submission event alone does not necessarily mean that evaluation is complete.

Recognition and Feedback Events

  • Student badge award: A student badge is awarded for an achievement or milestone.
  • Student certificate award: A student certificate is issued as a completion or achievement credential.
  • Course review: A learner provides feedback about the course.

Use recognition filters to identify learners who reached course milestones. If a badge or certificate is absent, check the related completion and evaluation events before asking an instructor or administrator to verify eligibility.

Practical Activity Examples

Finding Assessment Results

A learner completes a practice quiz and wants to find the recorded outcome. Selecting the quiz-evaluation filter narrows the feed to evaluated quiz results instead of requiring a search through every course event.

Checking Progress

A learner selects the progress or unit-completion view to confirm that completed networking lessons have been recorded. If a completion is missing, the learner can compare the filtered view with the complete activity feed.

Monitoring Enrollment Status

An administrator selects enrollment events to audit subscription, renewal, access-code application, course start, and course removal activity. This provides a focused history of access changes.

Reviewing Recognition

An instructor filters for badge and certificate events to identify students who reached course milestones during exam preparation.

When No Activity Matches

If the selected filter has no matching events, show a clear empty-state message such as: No activity matches this filter. Choose another filter or return to Everything.

An empty result does not always indicate a problem. It may simply mean that no event of that type has been recorded yet. Select Everything to return to the complete activity view, or choose another event category.

Troubleshooting

No activity appears after applying a filter

The selected event type may have no recorded entries. Select the all-activity view or try a different filter.

A completed unit is missing

The completion may not have been recorded yet, the wrong filter may be selected, or the unit may not have been fully marked complete. Check Everything, verify the unit's completion status in the curriculum, and contact the course administrator if the event remains missing.

A quiz or assignment result cannot be found

The assessment may not yet have been evaluated, or the feed may be filtered to another category. Use the relevant quiz- or assignment-evaluation filter and confirm that the submission has been evaluated.

A certificate or badge is not shown

The recognition milestone may not have been met, or the award may not have been issued yet. Review completion and evaluation events, then verify award eligibility with the instructor or administrator.

Exam-Relevant Notes

  • Activity milestones are evidence of course participation and exam-preparation progress; they do not by themselves prove readiness for the CCENT ICND1 100-101 exam.
  • Unit completions show that learning items were recorded as complete, while quiz and assignment evaluations show assessment outcomes.
  • A course reset or retake can change the interpretation of later progress events because it represents a new or restarted attempt.
  • Use assessment results together with curriculum coverage to identify topics that need additional study.
