How to use the SHA-256 hash

Paste the text.
Leave Hash each line off for one digest of the whole paste. Turn it on for a checksum per line.
Copy the hex. Email lists for ads belong on the email SHA-256 hasher, which normalizes addresses first.

UTF-8 bytes

The digest is SHA-256 of UTF-8, the same Web Crypto digest browsers expose. Newlines in the whole-paste mode are part of the input. Line mode hashes each line including empty ones unless you strip them first on the line tools.

Is this for Meta audiences?

No. Use the email list hasher so addresses are lowercased before SHA-256.

Hex, lowercase.
